1. Purpose of this site
This website showcases Likhawat’s calligraphy and design portfolio, presents our work on sarees, stoles, walls, magazine commissions and bespoke surfaces, and lets you reach us about classes and commissioned work. The site is informational and presentational; it does not, on its own, constitute a commercial offer.
2. Copyright and intellectual property
All artwork, photography, layout, typography, lettering and written content displayed on this site are original creative works. Copyright vests in Likhawat and its associated artists, except where a third party is expressly credited. Trade marks and brand assets remain the property of their respective owners.
Reproducing, copying, downloading for redistribution, modifying, training a machine-learning model on, or otherwise using any image, design, lettering or text from this site without our prior written permission is an infringement of copyright under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957 — in particular sections 14 (exclusive rights of the copyright holder), 51 (acts amounting to infringement) and 63 (criminal offence of infringement) — and, where the breach occurs through digital means, also of the Information Technology Act, 2000. 4. Quotes and commissioned work
Pricing, lead times, materials, dimensions and finishes for commissioned work are quoted on a project-by-project basis and become binding only when confirmed by Likhawat in writing (email is acceptable) and the agreed booking amount is received. Indicative ranges shared on this site, on social media or in conversation are non-binding pre-quote estimates.
5. Limitation of liability
Subject to applicable Indian law, Likhawat’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of this site or any commissioned work is limited to the amount actually paid by you to Likhawat for the relevant project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, including loss of profit, loss of goodwill, or loss of expected savings. The principles for measure of damages will be those set out in sections 73 and 74 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
Nothing in this Disclaimer limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited under Indian law — for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction
